Everything you will find on this site is geared towards networked multiplayer experiences. In fact, the ideal way to approach the game(s) on this site is joining the community, making friends that are already a part of the community and inviting your friends so that you can share the community and game experiences with them.

So, why would you want to join to become a part of this?

It's simple: Joining the community is free. It only costs you the time for registering by clicking the Join! link on the top-right part of every page on this site, filling out a form and confirming your mail-address by clicking a link in the e-mail you will shortly receive. You can decide whether or not you wish to receive newsletters via e-mail. Don't expect more than one newsletter per week, it'll probably be more than 4 weeks between two newsletters. If you want to always be most up-to-date, you should check out my Blogs, which are where I'm posting a lot about the progress, general information and random thoughts in between the newsletters which are really only sent out for major milestones and significant, public changes or events. If you ever want to leave, those newsletters will also remind you that you still have an account you wish to cancel (which is also easy to do, if you should want to do that... but hey - why would you want to do that?)

Obviously, I'm not gonna share your contact information with anybody. Did you see any advertisements on this site? Well, that should tell you two things. The first is: I'm not interested in making money through advertising on my site, and that implies that I'm also not interested in making money by selling your e-mail address to spammers. Spammers are like mosquitos, ticks or any of those annoying facts of life. I do not cooperate with industries that I feel are annoying to almost all people, no matter how much money they offer in case this should ever become a worthy investment for them.

The other thing it should tell you is that because somehow, I need to make a living, I need to charge for the services on this site. Joining the community is free, and always will be. You can access the public forums and communicate with people here. You can play more levels (without registration, you can still play the first level of TRaceON - with registration, you can play the first three levels). You can also access the bug and issue tracker, therefore helping to support the best possible quality for the games. You can even be a spectator to some of the multiplayer sessions, in first three levels (without registration, you can only view sessions taking place in the first level).

But unless you're paying, you can't play a multiplayer session yourself. Also, you can't access any of the higher levels (there's 10 altogether in TRaceON, and each one gets more interesting than the previous one... of course ;-) ). The server won't let you do that unless it knows you're supporting this project by paying a monthly subscription fee. Now that's fair, is it not?
